EHF European League Women qualification round 2 starts with action-packed weekend

Last season's EHF Finals Dijon métropole 2026 bronze medallists, Viborg HK, host AEK in a double-header in Denmark, while the reigning EHF European Cup champions, Club Balonmán Atlético Guardes, welcome debutants Boden Handboll IF in Spain, among many other interesting matches.

HC Gjorche Petrov-WHC AD Skopje (MKD) vs DHK Banik Most (CZE)

• the Skopje-based club established dominance in the Macedonian Super League by winning four consecutive titles from 2022 until 2025

• HC Gjorche Petrov-WHC AD Skopje is considered the successor club of Kometal Gjorce Petrov, who won the EHF Champions League back in 2001/02 and finished as runners-up in 1999/00 and 2004/05

• this clash marks the first meeting between the two

• DHK Banik Most won the game for third place in the Czech league last season

• the Black Angels featured in the EHF European League qualification round in each of the past three seasons, but missed out on securing a place in the group phase so far

• the Czech club's biggest success in the EHF club competitions is winning the Challenge Cup back in 2012/13
