The visitors ended up victorious in today's early afternoon matches, with reigning champions Györ and Brest Bretagne grabbing their second wins of the season.

Tomas Axnér joined Esbjerg this season and is well aware of his team's potential — but also knows the strengths of their opponents. After last week's defeat at Györ, the Swedish coach hopes to put on their best performance today in the MOTW against Odense.

What do the odds say about this round’s MOTW? The two Danish powerhouses continue their domestic rivalry in the European premium competition and both have something to prove. Esbjerg came close to winning the title last season, but lost in the semi-finals to eventual champions Györ, while Odense are still dreaming of their first EHF FINAL4 appearance. The road to Budapest is long — but each point can make a difference.

Hello everyone and welcome to the second round of the EHF Champions League Women 2024/25! This week we’ve saved the best for last, as the MOTW will throw off today at 16:00 CEST to wrap up round 2. 

The weekend started off with four matches on Saturday, in which FTC, Krim and Metz celebrated home wins, while Rapid Bucuresti managed to steal one point away in Kristiansand. At the moment two other matches are ongoing, as Buducnost host Brest Bretagne, while HB Ludwigsburg and Györi Audi ETO KC meet in a rematch of last season’s final. CSM Bucuresti and Storhamar Håndball Elite are about to clash for the first time ever today at 16:00 CEST.
