Court of Handball fines Turkish federation

The EHF Court of Handball has reached a decision in a case opened against the Türkiye Handball Federation following incidents which occurred during the 2025 Men's IHF World Championship Qualification Europe Phase 1 match Türkiye vs Italy, which took place on 1 November 2023 in Serdivan, Türkiye.

Several objects were thrown on the playing court by the spectators of the hosting federation. Due to the improper and dangerous behaviour of the supporters, the EHF Court of Handball has imposed a fine of €4.000 (four thousand) on the Türkiye Handball Federation.

The federation may file an appeal to the EHF Court of Appeal within seven (7) days.
