A new season of the EHF European Cup Women starts this weekend, with 44 teams entering Europe’s third-tier club competition from round 2: no round 1 will be played. By the end of the competition in May new champions will be crowned, as the 2025/26 trophy winners, Club Balonmano Atlético Guardés, are taking part in the qualification round for the EHF European League Women.

Action starts on Friday 2 October with seven matches, and a total of 11 teams will book their tickets to the third round in double-headers this weekend. Four first-leg ties are also scheduled for this week. Seven more double-headers will take place the following weekend.
