CITY OF HAMBURG
Hamburg is the second-largest city in Germany, with a population of over 1.9 million inhabitants. The city is known for its impressive harbor, the historic center as well as the vibrant cultural life.
On top of that, Hamburg has a rich sports background, having hosted multiple national and international sports events, amongst others three handball world championships. In 2024, the city of Hamburg will host both matches from the EHF EURO 2024 and the EHF Finals Men 2024.
This is the first time Hamburg will be host to the EHF Finals 2024. The best teams of the European League Men season will come together to fight for the title in May 2024.
BARCLAYS ARENA, HAMBURG
The 2024 edition of the EHF Finals Men on 25/26 May 2024 will take place in the Barclays Arena in Hamburg for the first time.
With a capacity of 11.400 spectators, the multifunctional arena will be a new milestone for the EHF Finals Men. The arena hosts more than 130 events every year, delivering outstanding experiences to over one million visitors.
Apart from concerts and shows, Barclays Arena has a strong connection to handball. In 2007 and 2019, the arena has hosted matches of the World Men's Handball Championship. In 2017, the final matches of the World Women's Handball Championship took place in Hamburg. The Final Four of the German Cup competition has been hosted between 2003 and 2022. In 2024, Barclays Arena will be host to matches from the EHF EURO 2024 as well as to the EHF Finals Men for the very first time.
The Barclays Arena will serve as a stunning setting for the EHF Finals Men event in May 2024 and will elevate the competition to new heights. All four participating teams and the fans can look forward to a beautiful venue, ecstatic atmosphere, thrilling matches, and unforgettable experiences.
