Formidable France win third women’s world title
France lifted the trophy at the IHF Women’s World Championship for the third time on Sunday, beating defending champions and co-hosts Norway 31:28 in a high-profile final in Herning. France had also defeated the pre-tournament favourites in a main round game eight days earlier. The other two co-hosts met in the bronze medal game, where Denmark edged out Sweden 28:27.
